Our
Philosophy

It is in the complete discovery of a thing that understanding is found.  So it is with the history of any people, society, or nation. None can be boiled down to a few stories or occurrences to encapsulate an entire people much less a civilization which spans multiple continents.

We intend to discover the full history of the people of African decent in this country that can be known. We aspire to ignite the flame of curiosity within the young and young at heart to discover yet more than we now know.  We will ensure that African American history is told and not forgotten; not forgotten and thus not lost.

Black History presentation for Devron Inc

I would like to personally thank and recommend Nate Harpe CEO/TruthBTold who gave an insightful virtual MLK monument tour and provided such meaningful examples of how inclusion maters and keeping the faith as an ally. Nate personalized the tour by weaving in Devron’s pillars of integrity and collaboration. Well done!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday afternoon Shaw Black History tour.

The sites, the historical facts, the historical images on the I-Pad. All of these different mediums truly made our Black history of the Shaw Neighborhood come alive. Nate was very engaging!

What an adventure! It's important for us to know our history and not his-story. Great trip for students and families.

I couldn't wait to share the AWESOME experience.
